In less than 48 hours, I will be 49. Forty flippin’ nine! And it took me a long time to realize that not everyone’s life and path is the same. People I went to high school with, are leading very successful lives… How very bitchin for them. I am proud they “just kept swimming” in life and succeed to their fullest potentials. LOVE THAT FOR THEM! I, on the other hand, lead a very different life. I didn’t college up successfully. I became a mom and raised two girls with a very unstable marriage. I put a lot of stuff first before I put myself first. If someone back in 1989 told me that I would marry unsuccessfully and live part of my life unsettled and hiding depression… I would of laughed my ass off! But that is exactly what I did. And, It wasn’t until my divorce and going through a very intense transformation before, I realized my worth. And now here I am, re-married to an incredibly, amazing man, being at aww with my daughters and how much they have grown and enjoying the time spent watching my grandson grow up. I am more focused on my business and wanting to succeed as a entrepreneur and small business owner. I have gained incredible skills in all my crafts. But, most importantly, I gained self worth, self esteem and realized how very cool my beautiful goddess self is! So keep doing you! Keep reaching for all your goals and dreams. Never compare yourself to others because there is only one YOU. So, just do you! Be yourself and let others be themselves. My two cent advice for the day!
Studio news: Chainmaille bridal jewelry. I was hired to create custom made bridal jewelry for a wedding in May. (my niece’s wedding) but what is exciting about this, it leads me out of my comfort zone. I have only played with chainmaille once… done plenty of research, know my patterns, designs and such… But now, Now I get to create bridal jewelry that PEOPLE WILL REALLY SEE?! Just plain…AWESOME.
